Brighton & Hove City Council Sport Development
Our city offers a wide variety of sporting activities catering for a diverse range of interests and abilities. They range from traditional sports such as football, rugby, tennis and cricket to activities such as belly dancing, short mat bowls and capoeira.
Our Aims:

provide strategic leadership for sport and physical activity within the city

raise the profile of sport and physical activity opportunities in the city

effectively market and promote sport and physical opportunities in the city

improve and maintain sports facilities in the city

improve health and reduce health inequalities by increasing participation amongst groups who traditionally participate less

develop and maintain the sport and physical activity workforce in the city

raise awareness and provide support of funding opportunities to sustain and enhance sports provision in the city
