What is a healthy diet?

Everyone over the age of five should eat a varied diet containing lots of fruit and vegetables and starchy foods such as wholegrain bread, pasta and rice. Meat and/or alternatives and dairy products should be consumed moderately. A balanced diet should be low in fat (especially saturated fat), salt and sugar.

You can more information about healthy eating at http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/
